Most students like their course but hate their fees

Jun 09, 2016

Most students like their course but hate their feesMost students are satisfied with their university experience but think they are paying too much for it, according to an official survey.

The survey found that 85% of students across the UK were satisfied with university, but only 37% thought they were getting good value for money from the course. Three quarters of the students surveyed said that they didn't get enough information about how their university spent their tuition fees.

Just 13% of students said that university wasn't living up to their expectations – and when asked why, the most common answer was that they hadn't put in enough effort themselves. The survey also found that second years and students who lived alone were less happy with university life, showing how important it is to develop your independent learning skills and build a support network to get the most out of uni.
